Celebrated by cooking my favorite mom dish and discovered Seafood City! Kari Kari, (peanut butter oxtail stew) and lechon (deep fried pork). Complete with bagoong. Not as good as mom’s, but I’ll take it. Food is so associated to my memory of her. I miss her (sigh).
realized this was my first full fledged breakfast out in the Bay Area since before COVID lockdown (late 2019) longsilog…complete with garlic rice! once the plate was placed on the table I devoured it and forgot to take a picture … 🙁 LOVE El Camino Drive !!

So these blue oyster mushrooms are meaty and hearty. It was like cutting through styrofoam! But in the end they were delicious!! Here’s the recipe I haven’t eaten a pasta dish this satisfying since a|Mano back in June.
