Cause & Effect…

here’s a preview of Cause & Effect. this piece is an “ode” to max my 11lb fibroid. this piece has forced me to really think about hormonal imbalance and dare I say – the environment. almost 6 months after my surgery I am still in awe and amazed at the human body. I think for me, after having gone through such a life changing experience…I have to wonder how we’re even able to breath under such stressful situations our everyday environment imposes on us. this piece (as with my “written on the wall” series and “import/export”) questions the viewer’s knowledge of his/her own knowledge of their body and how how the body overcompensates to withstand dis/ease. note: these pictures are taken from above down..the piece will actually be pinned (all four corners) to the wall – all 250 8×11’s – which will span approximately 14 feet x 10 feet. there will also be accompanying mirrors (4feet x 5 feet) positioned on the floor so that one can see their reflection……as well as read the questions. this installation was a very new process for me. check it.
