Djerassi..once again.

Here at Djerassi…it’s like the studio I get to have once a year to work on large scale stuff that I normally wouldn’t be able to work on at home – the difference is the fine company of other artists…this time I have Nate Pagel, Sara Shelton Mann, Kathryn Spence and Matt Ingalls (btw Kathryn, Matt and I are MILLS Alumni). My intended proposal was to work out my projection piece that was supposed to exhibit at Sun Valley…but between having been accepted to the residency and getting here – funding was cut. I take it as full carte blanche to explore my artmaking fantasies of …PAINTING! yep…..painting. really don’t know why. The studio that I have is slightly different than the Media Studio I usually get. It’s actually much more conducive to painting or doing messy work..which is perfect. here are a few photos of the studio…the work in the background are preliminary “sketches” before I go full onto canvas.
