Max’s birthday and beyond..

so…as you all know max was born..here are photos detailing my experience. WARNING: some are a bit hard to digest. overall – considering the intensity of this surgery – all went well. there are many funny stories to share – like how the anesthesiologist started taking pictures of all my tattoos with his camera phone as soon as they transferred me onto the surgery table – of course me being all drugged up on Valium – saying “sure you could take pictures of whatever you want – wee wee wee”. I’m convinced Valium is the new date rape drug – especially taken intravenously………enjoy and thank you so much for all the positive energy, I’m thinking this is why I’m recuperating so smoothly, I also want to especially thank Megan and Winter for being by my side from the get go…! (photos taken by ms. wilson and winter)

the crew before surgery..I was feeling surprisingly relaxed

my room #9 – an auspicious #

mmm..the direct line for morphine to my veins..
stockings for my legs – they put this machine on your legs before surgery that massages: it’s officially called a: continuous sequencer. ms.dressed this shot
the air tubes that fill up that contraption which is velcroed around my leg
the button thingy – I had complete control of the narcotics being administered to myself
my lovely visitors! note this is the day after my surgery -I was still drugged up on morphine – LOVED IT.

don’t know if you noticed but that balloon reads “IT’S A BOY”- an appropriate gift from Jenifer. also I received two copies of the infamous People Magazine – the one with the Jolie-Pitt twins! totally scored.

ah..the first walk after surgery – it was tough being tethered to the iv & the catheter..DUDE

yep – that bag is attached to me…
the following images are my staples being removed I find this series morbidly fascinating..thought I’d share. marcella did a lovely job – didn’t feel a thing.
