Here’s the progression of my piece “Rape and Pillage”, a site-specific piece (vinyl) took about 8 hours – so glad I had those knee pads. have always wanted these ever since always a bridesmaid never a bride days! The piece “Ascension” is composed of the quote “We are so used to women as victims of war to be pitied rather than survivors of war to be respected” by Gayle Tzemach Lemmon.
An exhibit put on by FOR SITE (same folks who organized the Ai Wei Wei show at Alcatraz). Was an excellent day to check it out. A definite must see – here’s more about it:
