Manananggoogle and the shameless plug!

Last Saturday (Oct 12th) Manananggoogle rolled out their OnBoarding Event. While this article is only a fraction of the depth and breadth of what we (M.O.B.) have taken on in our new entrepreneurial endeavor..it’s press nonetheless. Instead of going on and elaborating every morsel of our brilliant three-headed monster mind/s I’ll share photos! These are especially for the folks (like me) who are not on Facebook. (photos are from various sources, please forgive me if I do not give you credit).

Pictures from the event:

Gallery 51, Ryder and the solo show

I’m currently in the Gallery waiting for new video files to author. Have been anticipating this show for about a year now (well really since February) and when I committed to it the only project I had going on was, the Manananggoogle Show at the San Jose Museum (back in February) and work. Who would have thought other things would come into my basket. At any rate – Ryder was/is the mastermind of this – she’s magik! Luckily it’s the second to the last show that Ryder is taking care of before she leaves the gallery and  heads back to Hudson. Been working non-stop since I landed. Started off with a warm welcome at JFK to pick up a box full of art and me. Met with a couple folks and headed to a club…had a good time…as I always do with Ryder. Then the next day – straight to North Adams. An amazing drive as the leaves were turning (quite exotic for me). Ryder hooked me up with a nice space where I ended up sleeping for a few hours as I practically worked non-stop until the opening. I had the opportunity to present my work (political) for Sumi’s Sociology class “Culture, Power and Protest.” Ironically I presented a whole body of work that did not reflect my show at the space, nevertheless had a few students swing by the opening which was well attended. For the opening I was joined by Aly, her mother, her aunt and XJ. A fun and lively opening. Enjoy the images!

Bridge of Mud and Feathers!

Our KICKSTARTER Campaign! Midori Samar and I will be going down to Oaxaca for the Day of the Dead. Midori and Samar invited me to be their artist/videographer for the project, where I will do a video interpretation of their performance at the Gorilla Glass Studio! After seeing the Adam Curtis vs. Massive Attack show at the Park Armory in NYC…I’m thinking we’ll do a large scale projection! here’s a link to the Campaign and the video!

The Adam Curtis vs. Massive Attack show – I want to flank the whole audience with screens projecting Midori and Samar’s amazing work!

been awhile…

so as life goes and as you could tell I was thrown off a bit by the inevitable occurence of life (death). while the healing was/is happening many other things started happening in a rapid pace – other great things like travel, art, projects, work…etc. the proceeding entries will tell the story. I’ll be going back into the archives but will actually begin by sharing the present..then going back.
