Midori + Hima B. Askew Film Festival @ YBCA

Askew Film Festival (curated by the lovely Madison Young) happening September 13 – 15 at the YBCA.

Two of my favorites will be part of this festival. I have the privilege of working with Midori on her Yamamba piece and had the privilege of working with Hima B.’s License to PIMP piece. For Midori’s piece, I’ll be doing the video which will be projected while she performs (not to be missed) and with Hima B., I helped out with shooting some footage as well as being one of her sounding boards throughout her process. License to PIMP has been a few years in the making and was part of a very very successful kickstarter campaign.

San Diego

another lovely visit with la familia. this time I dug into the closet and unearthed some photos. my past life as a silly 20 some odd year old ‘photographer’. so addicted to the darkroom, so addicted to the image, so addicted to the process…photography was definitely my drug back then. i’ve also included some fun shots with pals, mom, dad and my most favorite sassy grrrrl.

blackberry picking

apparently the thing to do in Oregon + Washington … as Winter says ‘it’s a fucking blackberry armageddon here’. ks popped my cherry and did it all the way by making a blackberry cobbler, YUM!  thanks to julia for taking us to the right place in Sebastopol.
