started off with a drink at the Pilsner Inn – felt really good being out and about. Hike over in the east bay (Redwood Regional Park) w/Wendi & Bobby. Decided to have brunch over at Rick & Ann’s (still going on!). I’ve never been and Aly hadn’t been in 15 years. Next morning Tocino (a quick study for chatsilog v2). Then later on that afternoon – HMB – Paz and I visited Pillar Point (where so many folks were harvesting sea urchins – uni). Had a hot toddy at Jettywave. Then the morning rides to the beach. Gorgeous full moon. And lastly my alter (that large wooden buddah has been with the family before I was born).

Celebrated by cooking my favorite mom dish and discovered Seafood City! Kari Kari, (peanut butter oxtail stew) and lechon (deep fried pork). Complete with bagoong. Not as good as mom’s, but I’ll take it. Food is so associated to my memory of her. I miss her (sigh).
week was incredibly challenging…and these rides have been extremely – necessary and helpful to remind me of anicca
