Girls on the Go…

As Blockestein succinctly noted..we (Megan and I) are G.O.G. After the first of the year – we loaded up Lucky (Megan’s trusted vehicle) and took off to Idaho. First stop – Winnemucca…then finally Hailey Idaho where the SVCA put us up at the Roberta McKercher’s and Billie Buhler’s house (aka Ezra Pound’s birthhouse).

holidays down south…

After having completely moved outta Megan’s place we decided to spend some time downsouth – San Diego, LA and Joshua Tree for the holidays. First we started in San Diego where we bowled with my mother and sister. Second went to the Blockstrada’s for a Scabblethon and third spent New Year’s Eve in Joshua Tree. Carolyn Castaño (and Andrea Zittel) was kind enough to allow us to use her wagonstation as a resting place. For more pictures click on the corresponding activity.

the Parol Festival…

This year I was asked by Alleluiah (KulArts) to be a judge for the Tala Awards – how could I refuse! Barely getting back from the residency the day before – I was ready to judge. This year my coherts were Anthony Cruz Legarda, James Garcia and Abel Manalo – all very distinguished artists. This year was a renunion of sorts since the two MCs were Allan Manalo and Wilma Consul! a) haven’t seen Allan since the PI last year and b) last time I saw Wilma was when she was part of the Brides’ Holiday karaoke video.
