here are some pictures to prove it…and to think I had a painting party there!
(click here for those photos) – and click here to see the house…awww..just makes me sad!
for our birthdays San Pancho gave us a great gift…an opportunity to create a mural for Dia de los Muertos! From this little project spawned what Megan and I coined as “kwik” – our collaborative name (think Nestle Quick – Chocolate and Strawberry – you’ll see in the pictures). Anyhow – here’s our finished piece…”river of souls”…..a mural that was designed to invite the community to add names of the dead within the waves of the river….to see more pictures click here
yeah yeah yeah…I freaked out a little because I turned 40. though I got what I wanted…to be out of the country! of course I chose the trusted town called San Pancho (some say I should just live there) – but nah – i’d rather visit and perhaps live 2-3 months out of the year. Megan and I celebrated our birthdays (hers is four days before mine) once again in a foreign country..last year was Buenos Aires. What can I say…turning forty in hot lovely weather, a pool and the beach by my side, doing art (collaborating with ms. megan) and feeling the love everywhere (from la familia, megan, and everyone who texted/emailed/called me)…it was certainly more than I wished for……as always…I am so grateful…..(to see more pictures click here)…oh by the way – I’ve just posted my new mix – 10.2008 (thanks to all my peeps in NYC) – click here if your interested in downloading.
I decided to escape to NYC because I’ve been feeling a bit of cabin fever. Got the 6wk go ahead to resume activities as usual. I thought NYC would be a nice way to relaxxx…but boy I was wrong. Tons of art to see, things to do…etc. Every day/evening was full of activities (except the one Sunday where Joni and I had down time). Highlights – spending time with my NYC peeps, meeting G&G, running into my lovely surgeon/doctor, and just exploring and moving around. Here are a few excerpts of the trip…but if you want to see more……click here.
