painting party on tahiti…

so for the final weekend decided to do a ‘painting/graffiti’ party there on tahiti. alan said the place would be torn down as soon as I left….so….thought i’d (we’d) leave him a little present. click the image to see more….

hoy…

i’ve pretty much finished the editing job – just need to compress and render. was slightly more complicated than I thought. anyways I celebrated by .. going to the beach and STARTED my install in the house that i’m currenty living in, alan (owner) is going to demolish the building as soon as I leave…dude.. another wet dream space…i’ll see how much I can do before I leave in less than a couple weeks..

beach….

starting of the install…i’m realizing I like the form of this edwardian font

“b” to symbolize my tattoo..here’s the entry way to the bathroom

my practice wall and the ‘threXhold”

more practice wall + threshold
entry way..

speaking of dreams…

El ultimo fin de semana….well second to the last. I have been editing for Jennifer Dumpert’s project Urban Dreamscape. My role was to shoot and edit the audience’s reaction to the her dreams…as I was editing I caught me catching the audience…amazing what frame by frame can reveal. Been knee deep in the audio aspect of the editing…it’s interesting to know that the conversation is completely at your fingertips..let’s see if I could make sense of things. The quicktimes will be up soon – hopefully.

dream exhibition space…

as I was waiting for my flight back to Puerto Vallarta I had a chance to hang out at the MEX airport where I discovered one of my dreamspaces to exhibit. I’m really liking the glass/faux floor idea…not to mention all the monitors and video projectors. It was nice to see “LG” as the main sponsor of the electronic devices (rather than sony). I imagined creating a space where the viewer walking through the exhibit hall would see sequences of water, clouds or even landscape on every monitor…though each monitor would correspond with each other – imagine i-max but “hockney’d”. Then i’d use the floor as a display element to create a sort of floor to ceiling experience on travel and movement (which, as you can, tell i’m obsessed with at the moment)…hmm…does anyone know how to propose something to this airport?

note all the video projectors on the ceiling to the right

and all the display cases on the leftLOVE the cases in the floors…total wet dream
