Prohibition by Midori

As a performance in conjunction with my Threshold piece Midori and I collaborated on, I had asked Midori to re-do her performance piece – Prohibition. She mentioned the piece to me many many months prior and I was haunted by it. I wanted it to happen again – and thought – what an opportune time. Here’s some documentation and a brief description of it. (thank you David Lawrence for the images! and the model is none other than RED DELICIOUS)

The performance will explore the tension between desire and self-discipline, as well as the potential freedom found through the breaking of internalized rules. Prohibition is presented in conjunction with Eliza Barrios’ projection piece Threshold.
