the AWESOME trip to Oaxaca!!!

so, i’ve been meaning to put these images up for sometime now – though now I finally have time to do so! Back in November I had the most amazing opportunity to join Midori and Lady Samar on their journey to Oaxaca to perform Bridge of Mud and Feathers. I am creating the video interpretation of the performance, which will not be an easy feat. Being part of the process as a witness and watching this piece evolve from inception to execution, I can honestly say I feel quite honored. Not to get cheezy at all but it was a very spiritual experience. Not only did the performance take place in Oaxaca, the event happened ON Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Jason Pfol, owner of Gorila Glass, hosted this event, where he also invited many piercers and body mod folks from around the world to join. There were folks from as far as Slovenia there! I spent 10 days and was in the midst of the best of the best of body piercing folks. Here are tons of images from the trip!
